Script execution via unescaped contact path
Published Mar 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in the contact route of Frappe ERPNext 11.1.47 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via PATH_INFO. The route inserts a crafted URI path segment containing markup and script into the returned page without neutralizing it, causing the browser to interpret the injected content as executable code. No authentication is required, but a user must open the crafted URL; successful exploitation executes script in that user's ERPNext origin and can read or modify data available to the session.
