Database disclosure via unrestricted MySQL dump streaming
Published Mar 17, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Authorization failure in cPanel before 82.0.18 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary databases via MySQL dump streaming. The MySQL dump-streaming path returns a selected database without restricting the request to databases owned by the account. A valid low-privilege cPanel account and network access to the interface are required; the documented impact is database disclosure only.
