CVE-2019-20461Network attack vector

Unauthenticated video and audio access via client-side authentication

Published Nov 7, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Authentication bypass in Alecto IVM-100 Firmware 2019-11-12 allows remote attackers to access camera video and audio streams. The custom UDP service accepts an encoded UID to establish a camera session without transferring a username or password because authentication occurs in the client. Exploitation requires obtaining the encoded UID through sniffing or enumeration and exposes the associated live camera feed over the Internet.
