Reflected XSS via unneutralized docName parameter
Published Jan 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in WSO2 API Manager 2.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted documentation URL. The inline API documentation editor reflects the GET docName value into its response without neutralizing executable HTML and JavaScript. Exploitation requires API Publisher privileges and a victim who opens the crafted URL; script execution can redirect the browser, alter the page, or read browser-accessible data, while protected cookies prevent session hijacking.
