Remote service crash via unchecked packet lengths

Out-of-bounds access in Lustre before 2.12.3 allows remote attackers to crash a file-system server via crafted client packets. The ptlrpc osd_map_remote_to_local path trusts specific packet fields, while osd_ldiskfs osd_bufs_get fails to validate a supplied length before accessing buffers. No authentication or user interaction is required; a malicious Lustre client can trigger a kernel panic that interrupts the server.
