File deletion via unvalidated upload-manager GET request
Published May 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
CSRF in Intelliants Subrion CMS 4.2.1 allows remote attackers to delete server files through an authenticated user's browser. The panel/uploads/read.json endpoint accepts a GET request with cmd=rm without validating its CSRF token, allowing the request to remove a selected upload. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, and the bounded consequence is deletion of files accessible through the upload manager.
