Origin validation error in OpenLambda 2019-09-10 allows remote attackers to invoke REST API actions via DNS rebinding. The REST API on TCP port 5000 does not validate the Host header, allowing a malicious website to bypass browser same-origin protections and issue requests to the server. The attack requires a user to visit attacker-controlled web content; resulting actions include invoking functions and reading server statistics, with integrity and confidentiality impact but no reported availability impact.
