Published Jan 9, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cross-site scripting in FooGallery 1.8.12 for WordPress allows remote authenticated users to execute script in viewers' browsers via post_title. The plugin stores the post_title value and renders it without adequate sanitization or output escaping, allowing a crafted title to persist until a page is viewed. Administrative privileges and victim interaction are required, with confidentiality and integrity impact in the victim's browser but no service interruption.
