Authenticated file disclosure via external entity expansion
Published Jan 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
XXE in Determine Contract Lifecycle Management 5.4 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through an XML upload. The definition_upload_attach.jsp handler parses the XML_Template_1_Text upload with external entities enabled, fetching an attacker-hosted DTD that reads local files and sends their contents to an FTP server. Administrative access to the upload feature is required; exposed configuration files can disclose application credentials.
