Unauthenticated database reads via persoid SQL injection
Published Feb 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
SQL injection in Selesta Visual Access Manager 4.15.0 through 4.29 allows remote attackers to read database data without authentication. The /tools/VamPersonPhoto.php endpoint incorporates the GET or POST persoid parameter into SQL SELECT statements without neutralizing SQL syntax. Database errors expose query results and structural details; the documented consequence is database disclosure rather than modification or service interruption.
