Administrator credential disclosure via cleartext console traffic
Published Jan 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cleartext transmission in IXP EasyInstall 6.2.13723 allows attackers to read administrator credentials from TCP port 20050 traffic. The remote Administrator console sends authentication credentials across its network connection without transport encryption, exposing them in captured traffic. Access requires a network position able to observe a remote console session; the reported consequence is credential disclosure, not data modification or service interruption.
