Cross-user code execution via writable logon script
Published Jan 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Improper permissions in IXP EasyInstall 6.2.13723 allow local users to execute code as other users through the Agent Service. The service executes %SYSTEMDRIVE%\IXP\SW[PACKAGE_CODE]\EveryLogon.bat during each user's logon even though another authenticated user can modify that script. Local access to the client and write access to the package script are required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied commands in each later user's security context.
