Unauthorized collaborator data via unvalidated author parameter
Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Input validation failure in Serpico 1.3.0 allows remote attackers to add unauthorized collaborator data through the author parameter. The Add Collaborator handler accepts arbitrary-length author values without checking that they identify a database record. No authentication or user interaction is reflected in NVD's assessment, and successful requests alter collaborator data without reported disclosure or service interruption.
