Stored XSS via unescaped report author
Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Serpico 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted report author value. The add-user report workflow stores the author parameter, and views/add_user_report.haml renders each stored author without Haml escaping. Administrative privileges are required to submit the value, and another user must open the affected author listing before the script runs in that user's browser session.
