CVE-2019-19664Network attack vector

Service interruption via forged web-settings request

Published Feb 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in MAXUM Rumpus FTP 8.2.9.1 allows remote attackers to alter server web settings via a crafted request. The RAPR/WebSettingsGeneralSet.html handler accepts a cross-origin settings request under the victim's authenticated session without verifying intent. A logged-in user able to manage these settings must submit the request; exposed controls include server enablement, ports, WebDAV access, upload restrictions, and connections, so disabling the server interrupts service.
