Administrative account creation via stored login history
Published Jan 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Big Monitoring Fabric allows remote attackers to create an administrator account through an invalid login attempt. The login endpoint stores an invalid username without neutralizing embedded JavaScript, and the login-history page later renders that value as executable content. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open login history; Big Cloud Fabric and Multi-Cloud Director share the flaw, and the resulting account enables application and SSH console access.
