Local privilege escalation in rConfig 3.9.3 allows local users with Apache-account access to execute commands as root through sudo. The installer grants the apache account passwordless sudo access to crontab, zip, chmod, chown, tail, rm, and other binaries that permit shell escape or privileged file access. Exploitation requires local command execution as apache and grants root command execution or access to protected files.
