Root privilege escalation via attacker-controlled log path

Local privilege escalation in Broadcom CA Automic Dollar Universe 5.3.3 allows local users to gain root access through uxdqmsrv. The setuid-root binary trusts U_LOG_FILE as a log path and creates that file with root ownership while inheriting an attacker-controlled umask. Any local user can create a world-writable /etc/ld.so.preload file and load a shared object as root; a nosuid work directory blocks the demonstrated final shell.
