Local credential disclosure via cleartext event logging
Published Jan 27, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Credential disclosure in affected Idelji Web ViewPoint suite releases allows local users to recover an event acknowledger's password. When an event is acknowledged, the suite logs the group.user or alias password in clear text to an ADB or AADB file in the Installation subvolume. A Guardian user who can read that file can obtain the credential; the published impact is limited to disclosure of that password.
