Remote system crash via malformed LDAP packets
Published Jan 21, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Integer overflow in the LDAP client in affected Huawei products allows remote attackers to crash the target system with malformed packets. The client insufficiently validates malformed LDAP packets before an undisclosed integer calculation overflows during packet processing. Network access to the target is required; successful exploitation interrupts availability by crashing the affected device, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
