Browser script execution via unneutralized displayed data
Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cross-site scripting in affected CFEngine Enterprise Mission Portal releases allows attackers to run JavaScript in a user's browser. Mission Portal renders attacker-injected JavaScript embedded in displayed data without neutralizing it; the vendor has not disclosed the input field or rendering function. Execution requires a user to view the affected data, and the script runs in that user's browser context with bounded confidentiality and integrity impact.
