CVE-2019-19295Network attack vector

Audit evasion via unenforced XML activity logging

Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Nov 18, 2024

Insufficient logging in Siemens Control Center Server before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to conceal XML-protocol actions. The XML-based protocol on default ports 5444/tcp and 5440/tcp does not enforce recording of security-relevant activity in the application log. Access requires valid authentication and network reachability, and resulting actions evade application-level audit visibility without directly exposing data or interrupting service.
