CVE-2019-19282Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Service interruption via message-size integer overflow

Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Integer overflow in Siemens SIMATIC Communication Services allows remote attackers to terminate CCAgent with a crafted UDP datagram. The CCAgent parser adds attacker-controlled header and body lengths in 32 bits; wraparound passes its size check before memcpy_s receives an oversized length. When encrypted communication is enabled, an unauthenticated sender with network access can crash the service, which restarts after a delay.
