Kernel protection bypass via arbitrary zero write

An arbitrary memory write in Samsung mobile devices running Android O(8.0) or P(9.0) with Exynos 8895 allows local users to bypass kernel protections. The RKP Samsung Hypervisor EL2 implementation exposes an API that writes a zero 64-bit value to an attacker-chosen memory address, corrupting protected device memory. Triggering the write requires code execution in the EL1 kernel, after which an attacker can circumvent established security controls; no remote-only path is described.
