Metrics disclosure via unprotected Grafana endpoint
Published Jan 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Information disclosure in GitLab Enterprise Edition 11.9 through 12.5 allows remote authenticated users to read bundled Grafana metrics. The /-/grafana/metrics endpoint exposes GitLab and Grafana telemetry without enforcing the intended authorization boundary. Low-privileged access reveals infrastructure, server and HTTP load, and thread information, with no reported data modification or service interruption.
