Code execution via attacker-controlled ActiveX download arguments
Published May 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Arbitrary file download in RAONWIZ DEXT5 Upload 5.0.0.116 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through Dext5.ocx. The Dext5.ocx control accepts attacker-set arguments for an unnamed ActiveX method and uses them to download an arbitrary file. Exploitation requires a Windows user to interact with content that invokes the installed control, after which the downloaded file can be used for code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
