CVE-2019-19165Network attack vector

Code execution via unchecked ActiveX method arguments

Published Apr 29, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Unchecked code download in Inogard Ebiz4u ActiveX 1.0.5.0 and later allows attackers to execute files through crafted method arguments. The AxECM.cab control accepts attacker-set ActiveX method arguments, downloads the referenced file into the Windows user's folder, and executes it without validating its integrity. The published assessment requires high privileges and no user interaction, and successful exploitation runs attacker-chosen code on the Windows host.
