Published Jun 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in the wpForo phrases page in wpForo 1.6.5 allows remote attackers to execute script through the langid parameter. The page returns the langid GET value in its HTML response without validation or context-appropriate escaping. A logged-in WordPress administrator must open the crafted link, after which the script runs in the site's origin and can act through that session.
