Weak password enforcement in Hitachi Energy eSOMS 4.0 through 6.0.3 allows remote attackers to weaken account security. The product accepts user passwords without applying configured password-complexity requirements; public materials do not identify the affected function or request. Network access is sufficient according to the published assessment, and resulting weak credentials expose only the affected account's privileges.
