Admin command execution via SCCM username injection
Published Mar 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
OS command injection in Zoho ManageEngine AssetExplorer before 6.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as SYSTEM. SccmTask.java concatenates the SCCM database username into Windows or Linux scheduler command strings passed to Runtime.exec(). Exploitation requires Administrator access, a configured SCCM SQL credential, and scheduling a scan; injected commands run with NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM privileges.
