Session cookie exposure via missing HttpOnly flag
Published Apr 2, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cookie misconfiguration in Hitachi Energy eSOMS 4.0 through 6.0.2 allows attackers to read session cookies through JavaScript. The application sets cookies without the HttpOnly attribute, leaving their contents accessible to scripts executing in the browser. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled JavaScript in an eSOMS browser context, and exposed session data can support browser-session takeover.
