Authentication bypass via reusable password hashes

Improper authentication in cryptctl before 2.4 allows remote attackers with a captured password hash to access key-server operations. The client hashes the administrative password, and the RPC server accepts that hash directly as the authentication secret, making a captured digest reusable without cracking. Possession of the hash is required; successful replay grants the protected encryption-key management access associated with the password.
