Admin-site request forgery via crafted AF data
Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in AVEVA PI Vision before 2019 allows remote attackers to disclose data or interrupt service through its admin site. The administration site processes attacker-modified AF hierarchy or template data without adequate request-forgery protection, although the exact endpoint is undisclosed. Exploitation requires write access to the AF hierarchy or templates and user interaction, while the published assessment attributes no direct data modification.
