CVE-2019-17651Network attack vector

Authenticated stored XSS via unsanitized maintenance schedule fields

Published Jan 28, 2020 · Updated Oct 25, 2024

Stored XSS in Fortinet FortiSIEM 5.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through maintenance schedules. The Device Maintenance Schedule GUI stores title and description input without neutralizing injected JavaScript before rendering it to other users. Exploitation requires an account with schedule access and a user to view the stored entry; the script runs in that viewer's browser context.
