Buffer overflow in the Bluetooth Low Energy stack in NXP SDK 2.2.1 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to crash KW41Z devices. The Link Layer parser trusts the advertised Length field, so a central can pad a five-byte version request to 247 bytes and overrun memory. The attacker must be within Bluetooth radio range and connect as the central; the demonstrated consequence is a peripheral crash, with restart behavior determined by the integrating firmware.
