Published Feb 26, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Default privileged account in NetApp FAS 8300/8700 and AFF A400 BMC firmware before 13.1P1 allows local users to execute commands. The firmware ships with an enabled default account that grants its privileges through local access instead of requiring a customer-created identity. Local access to the controller is required; successful use permits arbitrary commands with the account's privileges.
