Stored script injection via unprotected settings import
Published Apr 3, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Missing authorization in MageeWP OneTone 3.0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite theme settings through its import feature. The onetone_options_import function accepts POSTed JSON without a capability check or nonce and writes it to the onetone wp_options value. The write can inject stored JavaScript into rendered pages, enabling visitor redirects and abuse of an administrator's active session.
