Missing authentication in HUSKY RTU 6049-E70 firmware 5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to change configuration via Telnet. The RTU exposes its Telnet shell without requiring authentication, allowing reachable hosts to invoke configuration-changing functions. Network reachability to the service is sufficient, and resulting changes can leave the device configuration nonfunctional after a reboot.
