Unauthenticated disclosure via unprotected export handlers

Published Jan 24, 2019 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Information disclosure in Cisco RV320/RV325 firmware 1.4.2.15 through 1.4.2.20 allows remote attackers to read data via HTTP requests. The /cgi-bin/config.exp and /cgi-bin/export_debug_msg.exp handlers export configuration and diagnostics without authentication; the incomplete restriction blacklists a client-supplied user-agent instead. Exploitation requires management-interface reachability and exposes VPN secrets and password hashes, with LAN access available by default.
