CVE-2019-16513Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account modification via tokenless API requests

Published Jan 23, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in ConnectWise Control 19.3.25270.7185 allows remote attackers to modify accounts through crafted API requests. Mutable API endpoints accept credentialed cross-origin browser requests without CSRF-prevention tokens, including SetAccountAttributes requests that disable suspicious-activity email alerts. The victim must be authenticated and visit an attacker-controlled site using Adobe Flash or an outdated Chrome or Chromium browser; the demonstrated consequence is modification of the victim's Control account.
