Customer data disclosure via unencrypted HTTP transfers
Published Jan 6, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Cleartext transmission in DTEN D5 and D7 before 1.3 allows attackers to read customer data files from intercepted HTTP traffic. The devices send customer data files over HTTP without transport encryption, exposing the contents to any party able to observe the network path. Exposure requires interception of the transfer; published evidence reports disclosure only and does not identify file types or the initiating component.
