CVE-2019-16204Network attack vector

Secret disclosure via command-line argument logging

Published Feb 5, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Sensitive-data logging in Brocade Fabric OS before 7.4.2f, 8.1.2j, 8.2.1d, and 8.2.2a allows attackers to disclose external secrets. Certain CLI commands copy inline password, shared-secret, or authentication-key arguments into the switch CLI history or audit log. Exposure requires an authenticated operator to supply a secret as a command-line option and a support engineer to receive the resulting SupportSave; no other switch account, including ADMIN, can view it.
