Browser-context code execution via poisoned endpoint profile
Published Mar 28, 2025 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Fortinet FortiClient EMS 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a managed endpoint profile. EMS renders attacker-controlled payloads from a FortiClient user profile in its management interface without neutralizing active web content. The attacker must control a managed FortiClient profile and induce a console user to view it; execution remains in that viewer's browser context.
