Authenticated script execution via insufficient GUI input validation
Published Jan 26, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Cisco IP Phone 7800 Series Multiplatform Firmware before 11.3(1) allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts. The web-based GUI insufficiently validates user-supplied input delivered through a crafted link before rendering it in the affected interface. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and a user who clicks the link; successful code runs in the interface context and can access sensitive browser data.
