CVE-2019-15999Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated JBoss access via misconfigured low-privilege account

Published Jan 6, 2020 · Updated Nov 15, 2024

Improper access control in Cisco Data Center Network Manager before 11.3(1) allows remote authenticated users to access JBoss EAP. The JBoss remote-naming listener accepts a bundled low-privilege account and exposes the DbAdminWS EJB without restricting it to internal accounts. That access permits calls to getServerProperties, which disclose stored usernames and encrypted passwords that bundled DCNM code can decrypt.
