Configuration disclosure via unenforced backup permissions
Published Jan 23, 2020 · Updated Oct 25, 2024
Improper access control in affected FortiMail releases allows remote authenticated users to download unauthorized system configuration backups. The admin webUI fails to enforce the administrator access profile's system permission when processing a configuration-backup download. Reachability requires a restricted administrator account on 5.4.10 and earlier, 6.0.0 through 6.0.6, or 6.2.0; the result is read-only disclosure, not modification.
