CVE-2019-15662Network attack vector

Kernel memory disclosure via unvalidated IOCTL offset

Published Mar 20, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Rivet Killer Control Center before 2.1.1352 allows attackers to read kernel memory through a crafted driver request. KfeCo10X64.sys processes IOCTL 0x120444 without validating the supplied offset before using it in a memory operation, creating an arbitrary-read primitive. Reaching the flaw requires high privileges under NIST's assessment, and the disclosed memory can support a privilege-escalation chain.
