Unauthenticated password disclosure via configuration download
Published Mar 19, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Missing authentication in Comba AC2400 devices allows remote attackers to disclose stored credentials via a crafted web management request. The upcfgAction.php download=true endpoint saves DBconfig.cfg without checking authentication, and the file ends with login information in cleartext or reversible hash form. Any network-reachable management interface is exposed; disclosed credentials can enable administrative access, with SSH or Telnet potentially allowing full device takeover.
