Stored XSS via unencoded Mermaid diagram labels

Stored XSS in the Mermaid plugin in GitLab CE/EE before 12.1.10 allows remote attackers to execute script through crafted Markdown. The Mermaid renderer inserts user-controlled HTML from diagram labels into the generated page without output encoding, allowing event-handler script to run. Exploitation requires a victim to open an attacker-controlled project or snippet, after which the script runs in the victim's GitLab browser context.
