Improper authentication in GitLab CE/EE before 12.3.2 allows remote attackers to take over another user's account via SAML login. The GitLab SAML integration performs insufficient validation of authentication data, allowing the authentication check to be bypassed. Exploitation requires SAML-based sign-on to be enabled and network access to the GitLab instance; successful exploitation compromises the targeted account.
